Overview: Austrian Post AG

Austrian Post AG operates an extensive network comprising around 350 company-owned branches and approximately 1,350 partner locations. Until 2022, 326 of these branches offered self-service copying devices to customers. With the rollout of KUARIO’s solution, the number of devices was streamlined to 126 modern multifunction printers (MFPs), fundamentally transforming access to document services.

The Challenge Prior to Working with KUARIO

Before partnering with KUARIO, Austrian Post’s previous printing and copying solutions relied on outdated software and offered only limited functionality. Customers had to pay for services onsite using coins, a cumbersome process that often caused operational disruptions and led to dissatisfaction among both customers and staff.

  • Efficient Management: A cloud-based management dashboard provides real-time insights into transactions and usage patterns, reducing errors and optimising support operations across all locations.

The implementation of KUARIO's solution across 126 Austrian Post branches has significantly enhanced the customer experience and delivered impressive business results that exceeded all expectations:

Shift in service usage: The shift in page volume distribution revealed changing customer behaviour and preferences.

  • Copying services: Reduced from 80% to 30% of total volume
  • Printing services: Increased dramatically from 20% to 68% of total volume
  • Scanning services: Newly introduced, capturing 2% of service usage

Colour print usage rose from 19% to 36%

Cashless payments now account for 75% of all transactions
